Camden High breaks ground on new athletic field thanks to NFL & LISC

May 13, 2013

On Monday, May 13th, the efforts of some dedicated Camden High School alumni to raise funds for the renovation of the athletic field, began to bear fruit. Shovels went in to the ground ceremoniously to kickoff the construction, which the Camden School District estimates will be complete by September 1st.

The $1.5 million project raised $200,000 in support support from  the NFL Foundation, whose “Grassroots Grants” through LISC fund athletic fields and programs in under-served communities across the country. The “We Can Do This” campaign also raised funding from the US Soccer Foundation.
