LISC, APM staff volunteer for annual Philly Cleanup
LISC partnered with APM to support the annual Philly Spring Cleanup in Eastern North Philadelphia. APM staff and neighborhood volunteers came together Saturday, April 14th to clean three community green spaces: the Rainbow de Colores handball court; the Borinquen Plaza pocket park; and the Hogar de Esperanza park. The APM team also helped one elderly couple clean their back yard, which bordered the Rainbow de Colores handball court. At the same time on Saturday, LISC staff volunteered in their respective neighborhoods: Fishtown, Spruce Hill, and Walnut Hill. LISC and APM’s efforts contributed to the City of Philadelphia’s annual Spring Cleanup event, organized by the Streets Department, which includes thousands of volunteers working together to make all Philadelphia neighborhoods cleaner and safer. It goes to show that when we work together, we can accomplish amazing things.
Keep up the sweep up Philadelphia!
